Six years ago, ImprovEd Shakespeare’s As You Like It became our eighth production. So why reprise it, instead of continuing our attempt to bring lesser known Shakespeare works to light? Forget Midsummer Night’s Dream, As You Like It is one of the best Shakespeare plays for youth to perform.

Our newest offering is geared specifically for 8-12 year old youngsters. Weekly interactive online sessions of the Shakespeare Club for kids are accompanied with at-home projects designed to engage in and illuminate the Bard through play.

In light of the COVID pandemic, we have created a virtual Shakespeare class for teens. Following upon the heels of our spring 2020 Zoom play, our newest offering blends interactive online sessions with accompanying at-home projects.

We’re not going to kid you. Creating a virtual stage for remote learning with students from the ages of 8 to 18 has its challenges. In the meantime, we hope that this list of lessons from our own Zoom play will help you as you strive to bring your production online.
